Secondary Education

“The philosophy of the classroom in this generation will be the philosophy of politics, government and life in the next.” – Abraham Lincoln

Program Purpose

The secondary education major prepares the student to be an effective junior or senior high school teacher in a Christian school. Because most Christian schools seek teachers who are proficient in more than one subject area, the student will choose two of the seven teaching fields offered by IBC. Those fields are English, History, Science, Mathematics, Business, Speech, and Music.
